Executive Class Representative Council
Class Representative Council is vital to ensure the best student representation we can achieve. We know that as a multi-campus university, there will be some issues that affect only some campuses, and other issues that will affect all campuses. This is why we also have an Executive Class Representative Council.
The Executive Class Representative Council is involved in setting the agenda for the local Class Representative Councils, by deciding which issues are campus-specific and which issues are relevant to the entire student body. They also look after some other important administrative bits and pieces, such as budgetary oversight and risk management and policy.
If you are a Class Rep and interested in joining the Executive Class Rep Council, an election will be held at the first Class Representative Council of the Academic Year (usually sometime in October). Make sure that you are registered with your Education Officer so that you get all the information you need to run!
The membership of the Executive Class Representative Council is as follows:
- The Students’ Union Presidents
- The Secretary
- The Carlow Education Officer
- The Waterford Education Officer
- The Vice President for the Wexford and Wicklow Campus
- Three First Year Representatives elected from the Waterford, Carlow and Wexford campuses
- Three elected Class Representatives from each of the above campuses
